In late 2022 outline planning permission was approved for a new neighbourhood at Top Farm, Weddington.

Late last year, Develop Warwickshire consulted the local community on the first steps and received comments from 41 people, with a new community park, health facilities and transport infrastructure seen as the most important elements of the scheme.

A new secondary school is due to open in September 2025 for 900 pupils aged 11 to 16. It will include a variety of indoor and outdoor sports and recreation facilities that will be accessible for community use.

There will be 480 new homes with building due to start later this year. The 1, 2, 3 and 4-bed properties are a mix of private sale, private rent and affordable housing.

Every house includes an air source heat pump, solar panels and electric vehicle changing points giving the scheme a net gain in biodiversity.
